Uli Schoberer has a long-standing business relationship with Bjarne Riis, who was a very sophisticated user of the SRM Training System when he was a rider. In his most successful years, Bjarne Riis trained and raced with an SRM, and he was one of the first people to methodically use power measurement for training and racing. Uli and Bjarne also worked closely together to improve his time trial position with extensive testing on the track.

Therefore, it was only natural that their cooperation continued when Bjarne Riis became the owner of Team Saxo Bank. He is known as a very focused and strong personality, and he characterizes the team's philosophy as this:

"We do many things differently on our team and we intend to keep it that way. We have a set of values and apply special methods that are all part of a particular philosophy. This is something we have worked on for a few years now, and I think this past season was the first one in which our techniques truly showed their worth. Ideas such as teamwork, coaching and professionalism are new in cycling sports.
Our team possesses something that many others would like to have because we have started to build from the bottom and with the right tools. This has helped to create our image as a team where things actually work and where the riders have the best opportunities for development. We are proud of this image, and acknowledge that there are responsibilities and work involved in maintaining it. Our foundation is in place, and it is the result of intense work contributed by everyone who is on or around the team."

Team Saxo Bank is an impressive group of riders forming a very competitive and successful team on every terrain.

The most outstanding so far this season is Fabian Cancellara (Switzerland), the strongest all-rounder in cycling right now: the Olympic Time Trial Champion and three time Time Trial World Champion was able to win Tour of Flanders, as well as Paris - Roubaix for the second time in his career.

For the three week stage races the Schleck brothers, Frank and Andy, belong with the best in the world. Andy, who won the White Jersey for the best young professional in the Tour de France in 2008 and 2009, finishing second overall in 2009, will be one of the big favorites for this year's Tour de France.

Sprinters like JJ Haedo, veterans like Jens Voigt and young talents like Jakob Fuglsang are always good for victories which are the result of strong team work in the race and a sophisticated team support during the whole season.

SRM is proud to be an official supplier of Team Saxo Bank and to help the team and each individual rider with the right tool for power and performance measurement in training and racing.

Team Saxo Bank rides the SRM PowerMeter Specialized and the new PowerControl 7.
