Rochelle Gilmore on training with her SRM PowerControl 7 |
As a junior cyclist I focused on the track (velodrome) and won a number of junior National Championships and a World Championship Silver medal. I went on to win senior/elite World Cups and two World Championship silver medals on the track, and also won two silver medals at the 2002 and 2006 Commonwealth Games before turning my focus to road cycling.
I am now a professional Road Cyclist. I have won a World Cup and claimed many World Cup podiums as a professional cyclist; my greatest achievements also include stage wins in the Giro d'Italia and Route De France. In cycling terms I am just entering my strongest years in this sport. At 28 years of age, I am chasing the ultimate goals of Commonwealth, World and Olympic gold medals!

Bridie O'Donnell on Performance, Passion and Powermeters |
Bridie O'Donnell is one of Australia's current female cycling talents..
She didn't start competing in sport until her second year of university, when participating in a triathlon seemed like a fun way to spend a Sunday morning. This began a love affair with endurance sports, and cycling in particular.
After graduating from University of Queensland Medical School, she moved to Melbourne in 2001 and devoted her energy to rowing for five years.
In 2006, she finished the Hawaiian Ironman triathlon and then began a specific focus on the individual road time trial.
Now she is an Australian professional rider with UCI Team Valdarno (alongside 2009 World Champion, Tatiana Guderzo, and Italian Champion, Monia Baccaille) and spends six months of each year in Europe and six in Melbourne.
Bridie tells us how she has thrived using SRM to rapidly progress from rower to world class cyclist:

Fabian Cancellara: King of the Cobbled Classics |
|
Congratulations to fabulous Fabian Cancellara! After winning the "E3 Prijs Vlaanderen-Harelbeke" and the "Ronde van Vlaanderen / Tour de Flandres" he showed his rivals with another outstanding attack and win at Paris-Roubaix that he is THE cyclist on cobbles. The 29-year-old powerhouse had the experience, wits and self confidence to use his main strength, his time trial ability - to push with high power for a long time in the best possible aerodynamic position - on the road bike for more than 50km on his own.
